About the Event

The annual National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium is the country’s largest gathering of practitioners of homeless health care, medical respite care, advocates, people with lived experience of homelessness, and researchers about homelessness. The conference offers tremendous opportunity to learn, grow professionally, reconnect with colleagues, and make new connections with our community.

Conference Schedule

Pre-Conference Institute (PCI)

• Date: Monday, May 12, 2025
• Cost: $225 members/$325 non-members
• Description: Full-day focus on one of the following topics: Street Medicine, Gender Affirming Care 102, End of Life Care in Medical Respite, or Leveraging our Shared Humanity to Create a Healthy America.

Main Conference

• Date: Tuesday, May 13, 2025 - Wednesday, May 14, 2025
• Cost: $700 members/$1,000 non-members
• Description: Two days of concurrent breakout sessions. Also included: Keynote addresses, poster presentations and welcome reception, access to exhibitors and sponsors, site visits and networking opportunities.

Learning Labs

• Date: Thursday, May 15, 2025
• Cost: $75 members/$150 non-members
• Description: Half-day focus on one of the following topics: Consumer Engagement, Starting a Respite Program, Motivational Interviewing, or Weather Resiliency.

Conference Code of Conduct

We expect all event participants—whether attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, volunteers, or NHCHC staff—to adhere to the following code of conduct throughout the conference. NHCHC is committed to enforcing these guidelines to ensure a positive and respectful experience for everyone. We believe in fostering an environment free from harassment and discrimination, where individuals of all genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, ages, abilities, body types, ethnicities, races, and religious beliefs feel safe and respected. Harassment in any form is strictly prohibited, including inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome sexual advances, and any form of sexual language or imagery. This policy applies to all aspects of the conference, from sessions and workshops to social events, exhibits, sponsorship materials, and social media interactions.

If you are asked to cease any inappropriate behavior, we expect immediate compliance. Violations of this code may result in sanctions, including removal from the event without a refund, at NHCHC’s discretion. If you experience or witness harassment or have any concerns, please reach out to a member of the NHCHC staff right away.
