September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S., and it’s the second leading cause of death among people 10 to 24 years old. Suicide rates among people experiencing homelessness are estimated to be at least 10 times higher than those who have homes.
