As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact communities across the country, people experiencing homelessness are increasingly being placed in isolation and quarantine facilities for monitoring, treatment, and/or protection from likely infection.
For vulnerable people who are under a tremendous amount of stress and uncertainty, adhering to isolation requirements can be challenging, particularly for those with significant mental health and substance use issues.
This webinar will discuss how best to respond to clients who are having trouble adhering to isolation requirements and offer strategies for avoiding civil detention or involuntary commitment.
