The third webinar in our Town Hall series will center around the role of medical respite/recuperative care in community response to COVID-19. While medical respite programs are uniquely positioned to provide care for people experiencing homelessness when they are sick, programs across the country are working quickly to adjust their practices to meet the increased and evolving needs of their communities.
Additionally, providers are working to expand the medical respite model beyond the four walls of their program and into hotel rooms, dorms, convention centers, etc. Medical respite providers from Seattle, WA, and Durham, NC will speak to these challenges and the roles they’ve played in helping their cities build client-centered quarantine facilities.
