Aging with Dignity: Health-Centric Living Environments for Seniors Experiencing Homelessness

Presentation by: Rolande Tellier, Chief Operating Officer, The Gathering Inn; Nick Golling, Chief Program Officer, The Gathering Inn; Tiffany Rayford, Program Director of Medical Respite, The Gathering Inn

Description: Unhoused seniors face compounded risks, including chronic health conditions, limited mobility, and social isolation. Post-illness recuperation further necessitates stable housing to ensure effective recovery and prevent relapse or hospital readmission. By implementing a comprehensive housing strategy for seniors experiencing homelessness, focusing on the creation of sustainable, supportive, and health-centric living environments, we can significantly improve the quality of life and health outcomes for this vulnerable population.
