Immediate Impact Grants: Serving People Experiencing Homelessness in the COVID-19 Pandemic

Thank you to all who applied. Though we could not award grants to every applicant, we recognize all of your efforts in the crucial effort to respond to COVID-19 in people without homes. Thank you.

About the Process

In partnership with Kaiser Permanente, the National Health Care for the Homeless Council will accept grant applications for unrestricted funding to 501c3 organizations in the states of Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, and the District of Columbia meeting the health needs of people experiencing homelessness in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Unrestricted grants will generally range from $25,000-$50,000.

Organizations may submit one application only. Applications are to be submitted electronically no later than midnight PT on Monday, March 30, 2020. Word limits must be observed. We will email grant notifications to the designated contact person by 5 p.m. PT on Wednesday, April 8. Checks will be mailed on Friday, April 10.

Eligible Organizations

Only non-governmental related entities (501c3 organizations) meeting the health needs of people experiencing homelessness in Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia and the District of Columbia are eligible to apply.  Preference will be given to organizations receiving 330H funding and medical respite care programs.
