Cincinnati Health Network, Inc.
The Cincinnati Health Network’s Health Care for the Homeless Program includes the following elements: McMicken Health Collaborative (an integrated medical and mental health clinic opening in November, 2010), City of Cincinnati Board of Health (operates a Mobile Health Unit traveling a fixed weekly route to shelters and street locations to deliver medical services), University of Cincinnati Department of Family Medicine (provides physician services for the Mobile Unit), Health Point Family Health Care (operates a 12 hour/week free-standing homeless clinic in Covington, Kentucky), Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment (provides medically monitored detoxification and treatment services), Greater Cincinnati Behavioral (provides integrated mental health services including assessments and treatment), CincySmiles, Inc. (operates the McMicken Dental Clinic, which provides a full range of oral health care at a state-of-the-art homeless dental facility), Drop-I nn Center (operates a peer drug/alcohol program for homeless men in the largest adult shelter in the city), Free Store/Food Bank (provides case management, representative payee services, referrals and housing assistance to homeless individuals and families), and the Center for Respite Care (a 14 bed facility that provides 24 hour medical respite services to homeless individuals).

(operates the McMicken Dental Clinic, which provides a full range of oral health care at a state-of-the-art homeless dental facility), Drop-Inn Center (operates a residential drug/alcohol treatment facility for homeless men in the largest adult shelter in the city), Free S tore/Food Bank (provides case management, representative payee services, referrals and housing assistance to homeless individuals and families), and the Center for Respite Care (a 14 bed facility that provides 24 hour medical respite services to homeless individuals). 24 hour emergency on-call, Asthma, Basic Needs, Behavioral Health Care Services, Blood Pressure Monitoring, Cancer Screening, Case Management/Social Services, Child Development Services, Chronic Bronchitis/Emphysema, Contraceptives (issued w/counseling), Dental Care, Diabetes Testing/Care, Domestic Violence Shelter/Services, Family Planning, Flu Vaccinations, Gynecology, Health/Nutritional Education, Hepatitis C screening/treatment, HIV/AIDS screening/education, Immunizations, Labs, Medical Respite Care, Medications/Prescription, Mental Health Counselin,g Mobile Van/Transportation, Multidisciplinary Health Teams, Outreach, Pain Management Services, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Physical Exams, Pneumococcal vaccine, Primary Health Care, Referrals for Specialty Care, Services in Supportive Housing, Smoking Cessation, Specialty Care, Substance Abuse Treatment, Trauma, TB screening/education, Treatment of Acute Illness, Treatment of Chronic Illness, Well Child Check-ups, X-ray
Linkages
Approximately 40 human service agencies were involved in the planning of Cincinnati Health Network, representing major providers of medical care, mental health/substance abuse treatment, public assistance, housing, emergency food, shelter, and other social services. The Greater Cincinnati Coalition for the Homeless, an informal network of homeless service providers, is actively involved in the project. Supportive and referral services are provided by community health services and the Ryan White Part C HIV/AIDS Program.
