Whatley Health Services, Inc.
Whatley Health Services provides comprehensive primary health care to underserved persons including the uninsured and homeless in Tuscaloosa, Hale, Bibb, Sumter, Lamar, Walker and Greene counties, Alabama.
Services
Whatley Health Services,Inc.(WHSI)serves as part of a major network of comprehensive care within the West Alabama region. WHSI concentrates on the delivery of comprehensive care through the Maude L. Whatley Health Center and 12 additional clinic sites throughout the service area. In addition to the 12 centers, WHSI provides healthcare services to individuals who are homeless and at risk children by way of a Mobile Medical Unit and a free standing clinic in Tuscaloosa, Al.
WHSI also provides medical services for inmates at the Tuscaloosa County Jail. The medical staff provides family practice, pediatrics, gynecology and internal medicine. WHSI services are complimented by providing specialty services such as pre-natal, ear/nose/throat, mental health/behavioral health, case management and substance abuse. WHSI also provides comprehensive preventative and restorative dental care which includes examinations, cleanings, extractions and fillings. A Mobil Medic al Unit with medical and dental capabilities provides services to homeless users in outlying areas.

Partnerships include the Salvation Army and Community Service Programs of West Alabama, a Community Action Agency.
Whatley has linkages with the Alabama Department of Public Health, Alabama Department of Human Resources, Alabama Department of Vocational and Rehabilitation Services, West Alabama AIDS Outreach, Hale County Board of Education, Greene County Board of Education, Tuscaloosa County and City School Systems, Stillman College, Shelton State Community College, University of Alabama, United Way of West Alabama, United Way of Central Alabama, American Red Cross, DCH Regional Medical Center, Hale County Hospital, Greene County Hospital, Indian Rivers Community Mental Health Center, Phoenix house, Hannah Home and Tuscaloosa County Jail.
