The Henrietta Johnson Medical Center (HJMC) Homeless Health Care Access Program expands access to primary health care for persons who are homeless in Wilmington.

Linkages

HJMC maintains a specialist referral network located throughout the Wilmington area to serve all patients requiring additional medical and dental treatment. Physicians at HJMC have staff and admitting privileges to all hospitals in the area. Working relationships have been established with mental health and substance abuse programs, social service organizations, community centers, churches, and civic organizations. The project coordinator at HJMC works with Ministry of Caring case managers to refer individuals in need of such services to the appropriate programs.
