Understanding the totality of youth homelessness is essential to engagement and the development of interventions and policies that promote the wellbeing of young people experiencing homelessness. All clinicians, administrators, and policy and advocacy staff working for or with youth populations (ages 12-24) would benefit from a deeper understanding of engagement strategies. This webinar will showcase information and resources shared in the forthcoming Council publication on engaging homeless youth. At the end of the webinar attendees will be able to identify primary concepts of engagement; describe how services are part of engagement for youth; list at least three barriers to engagement; describe the importance of youth involvement and how it is integral to engagement; and most importantly locate additional resources on providing services to youth sub-populations.
