HCH services are provided by Regence Health Network (RHN), an integrated network of Federally Qualified Health Centers, providing primary health, dental, and behavioral services throughout the South Plains and Panhandle of Texas. The homeless clinic is co-located at the Amarillo United Way Resource Center in Amarillo.

Services

The homeless clinic provides a comprehensive array of primary and preventive health care services, including women’s health (OB referrals, family planning), pharmacy, pediatric services, immunizations, Texas Health Steps, other well-child services, geriatric and adult chronic disease management and prevention, and lab services. Clinic staff, including a full-time family nurse practitioner, provide medical care at shelters, including Martha’s Home, Another Chance, City of Refuge, Downtown Women’s Center, Domestic Violence Center, Faith City Mission, Haven, and Salvation Army. Street outreach is conducted on a regular basis. Clients may also take advantage of the Day Center as well as other services provided in the Tyler Resource Center.

The clinic has informal relationships with United Way, Traveler’s Assistance, Texas Worksforce Commission, Social Security Administration, Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Texas Health and Human Services Commission, Veterans Administration Center, Catholic Family Services, “Are We All Really Educated?”, Panhandle AIDS Support Organization (PASO), Amarillo Independent School District, and Texas Panhandle Mental Health Authority Homeless Services.
