Outside In was founded in 1968, and serves as a non-profit health and social service agency for people living in poverty and people experiencing homelessness, with extensive services for youth and young adults. For over fifty years, Outside In has transformed thousands of lives by breaking the cycles of chronic homelessness, poverty, and poor health among Portland’s LGBTQIA+ community, people of color, immigrants, and the underserved.

Outside In’s Medical Clinic is a Five Star Rated Patient Centered Primary Care Home. We are also a Health Care for the Homeless Federally Qualified Health Center, a licensed Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment Provider, a School-Based Health Center, a founding member of the Multnomah County Homeless Youth Continuum, and an approved Veterans Affairs Patient-Centered Community Care Program provider.

We offer both scheduled and same-day, walk-in appointments. No one is turned away for inability to pay.
