Government data shows that health care workers are five times more likely to experience workplace violence than other workers, and health centers have reported to the Council that they’ve seen a significant increase in patient and staff anxiety and aggression — and acts of violence — over the past several years.
The National Health Care for the Homeless’s newest online course series, released in November 2023, is designed to equip health center staff to think through a mission-minded response to aggression and violence before, during, and after incidents.
