There are many connection points between homelessness and human trafficking, and it’s important that clinicians and care providers who work with people experiencing homelessness have access to accurate and thorough information about these connection points. However, many people are exposed to inaccurate information about the nature of human trafficking in the U.S. and globally. Not only does the spread of inaccurate information create confusion amongst the general public, it can lead to problematic public and political responses that further marginalize those who are already at greatest risk.
The latest issue of Healing Hands, the publication curated by and for our HCH Clinicians’ Network, is designed to deepen clinicians’ and other health care providers’ understanding of the intersections between homelessness and human trafficking in the U.S.
