Little River Medical Center Health Care for the Homeless program provides primary care services to individuals who are homeless in Horry County. This service is delivered via a free-standing health center model, outreach at area shelters, a food kitchen, and a mobile medical van.

Services

The HCH program is operated by a full-time, family practice physician, a medical social worker (trained to provide mental health and substance abuse treatment), an outreach van/driver, and support staff.

Dental services are provided at two dental sites. The program operates Monday through Friday in a center located near homeless shelters and on designated days at area shelters and a food kitchen. The program collaborates with area agencies and resources to help provide a continuum of care for individuals who are homeless.
