Outreach workers often serve as the first step to connect people experiencing chronic homelessness to the health care system. Recognizing the lifesaving role outreach workers fill for those who are unhoused, the National Health Care for the Homeless Council is pleased to invite outreach workers in the State of Tennessee to an in depth training for non-clinical staff on medical street outreach.
Who: All those who provide direct services to people who are unsheltered in the state of Tennessee. Outreach workers, community health workers, housing navigators, volunteers, interns, peer supporters – all those interested in learning to support the physical and mental health needs of people who are unhoused or sleeping outside.
When: November 2, 2023 from 9am – 4pm CT
Where: The Sonesta Nashville Airport, 600 Marriott Drive, Nashville, TN 37214
