2021 Call for Nominations for Our Board of Directors
As homelessness continues to increase, the work of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council is more important than ever. Our education, research, training, and advocacy initiatives, and support of health centers, HCH programs, and medical respite/recuperative care programs across the country, depend on the strong leadership of an informed and inclusive Board of Directors. We rely on our Board to represent Council membership and to guide our efforts in meeting the needs of our community.
Please help us identify outstanding leaders committed to our work to prevent and end homelessness. The Council is now accepting nominations for new Board members and officers. Each Board member is eligible to serve up to two two-year terms. Officers generally serve one-year terms. Thank you in advance for your willingness to rise to meet the challenges of this difficult, yet rewarding work.
All nominations are due by March 12, 2021.
The Annual Meeting of the Governing Membership of the NHCHC will take place in a special session during the upcoming virtual 2021 National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium, the week of May 10-14. At this meeting, we will elect Board members and officers from your nominations. Any Individual Member or Organizational Member Representative may submit a nomination, and members are encouraged to self-nominate. The Nominating Committee will consider all submissions and prepare a slate for action by the Governing Membership.
Please contact Brenda Wright with any questions.
