Self-Care Basics in HCH Settings
Presented by the National Health Care for the Homeless Council
January 8, 2013 | 1-2 p.m. Eastern
This webinar will look at how to check-in with yourself, offer some techniques for self-care, and discuss resources for getting help if you need it. Taking care of ourselves is always important, but it can be especially challenging for those in caring professions. Burnout, or compassion fatigue, and secondary trauma pose risks to the well-being of healthcare and service providers in the HCH field and very often providers who spend their work hours taking care of others have little time to take care of themselves.
