The Pinellas County Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) program provides medical services, otherwise known as primary care, which includes treatment of illness and injury as well as preventative care, education, limited prescription coverage and referrals for lab work, specialty care, dental assistance, behavioral-mental health assistance, and substance abuse treatment. Pinellas County homeless residents can receive basic healthcare in two primary locations: Bayside Health Clinic and the Mobile Medical Unit. The program is funded in part by Pinellas County Human Services, the Bureau of Primary Health Care, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).

The Bayside Health Clinic is located mid-county at 14808 49th St. N., Clearwater next to the Safe Harbor Homeless Shelter. The facility is a one-story, free-standing building with exam rooms and a dental office. Hours of operation for the facility are: Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday 8 a.m. tp 12 noon.

The Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) is a medical office on wheels. The MMU operates Monday through Friday and travels county-wide to shelters, drop-in centers, substance use treatment facilities, and other sites to assist the homeless.
