Genesee County CMH scores big after TA Aug 17, 2012 | Uncategorized Over the past few months, the National Health Care for the Homeless Council worked with Genesee County Community Mental Health and provided the organization with ongoing, in-depth technical assistance on several topics. NHCHC staff scheduled in-person meetings during the national conference, offsite TA visits, and meetings via teleconference with a group of well-established public-entity HCH projects. Staff responded to other brief request via email from Genesee. As a HRSA Health Center Planning grantee, Genesee continued to show its dedication in establishing a successful project. On June 20, HRSA announced a second round of New Access Point grant awards with Genesee listed as one of the 219 awardees! The New Start project was connected to its HCH mentor Marianne Savarese of the HCH Manchester at CMS Community Health Services and will continue to receive peer support and technical assistance from staff and members of the National HCH Council. Genesee County CMH was also honored as a 2012 Behavioral Health Care Champion.
