The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) began delivering health care services in downtown Denver in 1985 to meet the unique medical needs of people experiencing homelessness. Over the years, CCH expanded its services to include Stout Street Health Center, a state-of-the-art Federally Qualified Health Center which opened in 2014. There, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless responds to the specialized health needs of adults and children experiencing or at-risk of homelessness.

CCH offers medical and behavioral health care, substance use disorder treatment, dental, vision, pharmacy, and case management services all in one building to reduce as many barriers as possible for its patients. Through this integrated healthcare model, Stout Street Health Center and its five satellite locations serve over 14,000 patients each year.

Services

Services at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless’ (CCH) Stout Street Health Center and its satellite locations include preventive and primary care, dental, ophthalmic/optometric, mental health, substance use disorder treatment, pharmacy services, Medicaid enrollment assistance, and medical respite.

The Coalition also offers permanent supportive housing, affordable housing, outreach, case management, benefits acquisition, a children’s center, vocational services, residential services, and rental assistance. In addition, Colorado Coalition for the Homeless provides education and advocacy activities throughout the state of Colorado including lobbying efforts on housing funding, renters’ protections, health and substance use funding, criminal justice reform, and supporting vulnerable sub-populations of people at risk or currently experiencing homelessness. CCH’s housing development activities have created more than 1,900 units of housing for people experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
