Dentist (Albuquerque, NM)

Since 1985, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless has dedicated its mission exclusively to providing services to people experiencing homelessness.  AHCH provides a distinctive continuum of integrated care through outreach and site-based services to address the health-related causes and consequences of homelessness.  Our vision is to live in a world that is just and without homelessness.  We believe that homelessness is an issue that can be solved through access to quality health care, adequate and affordable housing, and a living wage.  

We are looking for a person to join our dental team part-time.  Our ideal candidate would be passionate about working in public health and providing care to the underserved.  We are looking for someone who is flexible and can work in both clinic and in our outreach settings, either in off-site locations or street medicine.  Our ideal candidate will be a team player and able to work well with other departments towards integrative care.  We are looking for someone who will work on education with clients.  

Minimum qualifications: DDS or DMD license in New Mexico or eligible for reciprocity, DEA and CSR in New Mexico, 1-year dental experience in clinical setting, experience documenting in EHR system, ability to thrive in complex healthcare environment

Preferred qualifications:  3 or more years experience in clinical setting, previous experience in outreach or street dentistry, bilingual English/Spanish, clinical experience with underserved populations, those with SMI and/or substance use disorder
