Arches to Wellness is a medical respite program supported through WellSpan Health, providing 24 hour care and services for 8-10 individuals with short term medical needs that are homeless or have housing instability.

Bethlehem Haven in Pittsburgh, PA, first piloted a 5-room Medical Respite Center with Allegheny Health Network (AHN) in January 2016. The results were very positive for both clients and the hospital. For the past year, Bethlehem Haven has worked with a group of leaders from AHN, Allegheny County DHS, Pittsburgh Mercy, UPMC Health Plan, and UPMC Mercy Hospital to develop a larger community-based Medical Respite Center in Uptown.

In April 2018, PHMC opened Serenity Court, our new, expanded 20-bed homeless medical respite facility. Serenity Court builds on the success of the pilot respite program which operated in conjunction with Depaul USA since 2014.
