A Year On: Revisiting PrEP for HIV Prevention

PrEP has been recommended as a strategy to work towards ending the HIV epidemic as part of the national plan, but for providers serving patients experiencing homelessness face barriers.

In June 2019, members of the Homeless Patient Aligned Care Team (HPACT) clinic at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System shared the work they are doing to initiate PrEP for their eligible patients. A year on, the team has dispersed to other VA systems but continues to provide PrEP to those at risk of HIV infection.

Join us to hear about the work they are doing across the region now and a discussion about how their past work at the HPACT has informed it.
