The annual National Health Care for the Homeless Conference & Policy Symposium is the country’s largest gathering of practitioners of homeless health care, medical respite care, advocates, people with lived experience of homelessness, and researchers about homelessness. Join Us for a Virtual Orientation!

Are you someone with lived experience coming to the 2026 National Health Care for the Homeless Council (NHCHC) Conference in Orlando, Florida? We’re excited to have you join us!

To help you get ready, we’re hosting a pre-conference virtual orientation on Monday, June 1st, from 3:30–5:00 PM (CT).

This session is all about making sure you have everything you need for an amazing conference experience. You’ll meet members of the National Consumer Advisory Board, Steering Committee and NHCHC staff, who will walk you through important details like:

• What to expect at the conference
• Where to stay, eat, and find key conference spaces
• How to use the conference app
• Special events for lived experience leadership
• How to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
• Where to find support, if you need help during the event

We want you to feel confident, prepared, and excited about what’s ahead at the NHCHC 2026 Conference. So, mark your calendar, bring your questions, and get ready for a great experience. We can’t wait to see you there!

Attending the 2026 National Health Care for the Homeless Council Conference for the first time? Consumers and lived experience leaders are invited to request a National Consumer Advisory Board (NCAB) conference mentor!

Conference mentors are experienced NCAB attendees who are available to provide support, answer questions, and help new attendees feel more comfortable and connected throughout the conference. If this is your first time attending, we encourage you to consider being paired with a mentor.

We are looking for Consumers and Lived Experience Leaders who are interested in speaking at the 2026 National Health Care for the Homeless Council Conference UNITED WE RISE - UNITY, HUMANITY, & COMMUNITY RALLY on June 10^th, 6:00pm-7:00pm.

The rally is led by people with lived experience and is meant to build community and inspire advocacy. Unlike a traditional conference presentation, this is a more open and creative space for expression.

Speakers will have 3-5 minutes to share. This could include telling a personal story, giving a speech, performing spoken word, or sharing another form of creative expression connected to the theme “United We Rise – Unity, Humanity & Community.”

If you are interested in speaking – or know someone who is attending conference who may be – please contact Meredith Mollica at 615-226-2292 (ext. 268) or mmollica@nhchc.org by Monday, May 25. Speaking slots are limited, and collecting names by May 25 will help us confirm and organize the lineup.
